man its crazy how fast we can get spoiled. I lost the remote for the radio in my truck and i feel so lost with out it. I dont even know how to use half the stuff with out the remote. plus leaning forward is a pain in the ***. I just ordered a new one from pioneer $22 plus shipping and handleing it came out to like $32 just for a little remote. holy sh*t

Oh, I'm spoiled. I got one of those fancy wired remotes for my Discman car kit! :D
If only GM had put the radio a bit closer to you in the 1st gens. Maybe flush with the heater controls? It does create a fun game of giving it gas to push back your passenger when they try to reach for the buttons.

mine looks different. mine is the one from the DEH-6500
