Gas prices are for wusses. I just raised the limit on the platinum card and have been researching 6-0 swaps.

my cure for gas?? stop pretending there is anything u can do about it.

Im working on a cheap homemade HHO kit to increase MPG over 40% and add 10% power if it work the way I want it to I may put it up on here or I will sell the kit on here if its ok

it would be a cheap kit not cheaply made but an affordable kit on a low budget I was going to try to keep the kit under $150

I figure it would take a month of testing before I would feel safe about selling it

my idea is if you dont want to buy it build it

if there is anyone interested in this kit let me know the more people that want it the sooner I will start on it

If I were you, you shouldnt even waste your time and money. Your talking extensive tuning, problems with truck running rich do to increased hydrogen, killing O2 sensors among many other things. My brother works for a company that builds hydrogen fuel cells and has been there and done it.

but Im the type of guy that trys it even if its been said that it cant be done

most of the time I can do it but either way it should keep me busy for a while

thanks for the input what else should be on the look out for

you said o2 sensors programming what other stuff

I can do the programming thats no problem
o2 sensors there has to be a way around that problem

If you can tell what and why I cant do it when and or if I can I will give you a kit for free if it works

remember they also said you cant burn water as a fuel and thats been proven wrong just takes a lot of electricity and a couple chemicals

I don't even have anything to put one in just yet. Big blocks are sweet though. The government is probably making a mint off of the gas prices and off of the people trying to buy more fuel efficient cars. We just need to make adjustments if we want to keep driven cars that are actually safe "Larger in size". As for me, I'm a bit overweight and could stand to eat less. Therefore in the interest of keeping my family safe, I will suffer occasional hunger pangs. Ever notice the size of those hybrids? Death traps. That big 454 makes for a stellar buffer zone in full frontal impacts.

It's all about the Torque-sure there's a little more weight-alum. head's help-:spin:

Me and my dad had a 454 out of a 454SS p-up with a Whipple on it. It sat in the garage floor for about a month before it was sold. We also had a 94 step side with a blown motor for it to go in to. I psyched my self out by just looking at it and all the wires and stuff. I was a bit younger and a lot more irresponsible too though.

I think it all comes down to cost. GAS being the most but also the cost to build. A traditional SB can put out some amazing power per cube and dollar spent, but now with LS motors...wow. Don't get me wrong I love the look and torque of a BB but you gotta love the efficiency and power potential of the newer lighter engine designs.

Something odd I'd like to add: I swapped engines on my tractor to a slightly larger & hence more powerful one, and the fuel efficiency went up! It just adds to the arguement David Vizard stated in his book, "Performance With Economy": You could spent money on building a radically modified small engine that makes X-amount of power & needs a big gear out-back for the street, or build a bigger engine that's mildly modified & use a small gear-ratio and get the same fuel economy & performance as you would with the other set-up.

There's simply no replacement for displacement!

Yeah, it's all about what you displace... By force or naturally.
