The 1992 Sonoma GT (W Code) had the most agressive stock cam that came in 4.3. It specs are .432/.440 Lift 208/208 Duration 110 degree of lobe seperation. The more aggressive late model Vortec 190 hp had a cam specs of .415/.429 191/195. The 180 hp Vortec cams specs were even less.
This cam would bolt right into a stock Vortec motor without having to change the valve springs, pushrods or lifters that you would have to upgrade with most aftermarket cams. This cam is the reason why Sonoma GT had 195hp with a set of L35 that flow significantly (~35+cfm on the intake) less cfm than the later 96 up Vortec versions.
I had planned to use this cam in my GMC Syclone that I am using a balance shaft short block. I ended up buying a custom turbo cam. The cam is used, I can throw in a late model timing chain with 14k miles on it. This is Balance shaft cam, it need to be used with 92-95 balance shaft motors (not all of those motor are balances shafts) or 96 and newer (all of them are balance shaft motors) I paid $40 for it, I will sell it for $25 plus shipping. This would be a great upgrade if someone had their motor already out.
I have a stock 2003 cam as well :) You can have that as well, its mostly likey going to a metal scrap yard. I have pictures of the cam if anyone really want them, it looks like a used cam.
