Yes, I am MySpace retarded.

I have a profile for a few years now and never cared much about the way my page looked. Now Id like to add some 'flair' to it.

Just mild stuff like a background, some color to the headers and some other stuff.
IDK what those music players are called but how do they work? Can I download my own sh!t?

I did my AboutTheLife page all up and that was easy. I just have little success with the MySpace page for some reason.

It what I use. Each playlist can have 100 songs. I made 2 playlists. It tells you how to add it to your profile. I figured it out oretty easy so you should have a problem at all.

www.pyzam.com or you can google myspace layouts . All you have to do is pick your page copy the code and paste it in your edit profile section in the About me part. If you need help let me know, I can do it for you.:D

Also, if you go to "edit profile"...there is another link that says "profile editor" close to the top right where it also says "view my profile." That is myspace's version of a layout except you make it yourself. So, #1, it will be your own and #2, you are looking at your page while you edit it so you see what all is going on. It will take longer than going and copying an html code but I like it more.

and playlist.com is perfect for a myspace page. you can change the color of them to match your page.

I use this myspace editer. It's not as glitchy as the actual one on myspace and it's extremely easy to use.

You can also search myspace music for a particular group then find a particular song by that group and "add to profile"

I appreciate all the help thus far. I used the editor on MySpace because it was quick and simple to do. I dont care much about being all flashy, but I did want something with a tad bit of eye appeal.
I got some stuff done tonite just fartin around with it.
Check it out : Mikz86TA is my screen name there.

But I need help with the music stuff. I signed up for the Playlist.Com player. Got a profile, added about 10 tunes and went through the whole shebang. It gave me a link to copy from there and paste to my MySpace profile. But I cant figure out how to put it in the profile......anyone know how that part works? Where do I paste it? Which page do I need 2B on?

try one of these....
just copy the code when you find the background you like ,
when you edit your profile ,put it in "about me" box,
anything else you find you like you can put in any box you want...
myspace is a great place to store your pictures

Go to edit profiles. Then paste it were ever you want. I pasted mine in the music and moves box. I got 2 list.

Yeah, but on my MSpace page I didnt know where to add that part. I dont have pre-exixting audio player and/or video player windows.

Mik... I believe that the code you copied has the player code in it as well. You just need to paste that text into ANY of the boxes on your edit profile page like About Me, Movies, Heroes, etc....
