So I would like to bolt a G80 rearend onto my truck. If i got one with drum brakes, would I need to replace the proprotioning valve to compensate for possible differences? Would the stock drive shaft bolt up or would it require different U joints?

I've got a zexel complete with rotors I'll sell for $1800, but it's not a direct boltup to an s-10.

it is the zexel locking diff. thanks bvr, but not right now. maybe if i decide to sell my new truck ill be in the mrket. I just didnt know if I would need to do any brake line work or any prep work,

i would watch out for the G80 lockers they have a tendency to blow up a lot. A detroit locker is a much better choice

To answer the original questing, no, you don't need to change the valve.. (Just did the rear disc upgrade with a g80 3:42 rear w/ disc brakes for my 95. Pulled it from a 99 blazer with only 33k on it.
