Did some searching but could'nt find info regarding the proper gear oil for the G80, is it the same as the rest (80/90) and no additive's?
I used the search button but found nothing regarding weight.
I want to put this back together- did'nt know it had a G 80 till now.

No additives. A lot of guys run synthetic with them but I see no reason.

Most of the stuff you get at the auto parts has the additives in it allready. I like the Valvoline Syn Power stuff though. Unless it specifies no synthetic I allways opt for the Synthetic stuff. Auburn and most clutch type rears don't want synthetic it affects the clutches.

What about a Zexel? I already have some Royal purple. I bought to much when I changed the oil in the Blazers rear. I was gonna use it when I did my zexel and 3:73 swap in my Jimmy.

Only friction modifier additives are needed if there are clutches.
Zexels and Gov-Locs dont have those IIRC
