illigal towing in TX

How would you feel if you had a blowout and weren't allowed to fix your tire. instead you are forced to have your vehicle towed by an unqualified tow driver who works for a towing campaney who is not responsible for damage to your vehicle because they are under city contract. here's the best part, they don't tow it to a shop they impound it. manditory $75 towing fee and if you can't afford that on the spot it's $100 a day.

belive it are not this is happening in houston(harris county,TX). It's called safeclear and even if your car is on the shoulder you still get towed and you don't have a choise in who tows it. if not stoped will happen all over TX....then.......well you get the idea. This money makeing law seem to spead like a plague. Kinda gives all the states something to look foward to and anoughter thing to blame TX for(for the record just because he owns a ranch here dosn't mean he's a texan).
I simply ask for some support. even if you don't live in TX I ask you all to spead this website around and sign the petetion.Even if this is not defeated in Houston people getting involed will make your local lawmakers thinck twice about passing unconstitutional laws that take money away from hard working people of this country.

It's not meant to be political. it directly affect us as car guys. the auto enthusiats in Cali can tell you how a poorly planned,cheap, bad idea to fix a major problem can spread. How maney states now do E-testing? this has happened over a matter of just a few years. How many people remeber the mandintory seat belt laws? manditory insurancnce? here's a better one that freash in peoples minds; although it dosn't involve cars yet. How many people smoke?

AAA, and road side insurance dosen't cover these tows either. I've read the comments there is no fighting this. If you refuse the tow you are arrested.

I don't live in Harris county, but it's a neiboring county to us and sence jan 1st. my county as well as elpaso,austin, ft worth and one or more of the new england states are supporting it as well. 1 month, 2 months, mabey 6 till it because major problem to motorist outside of Houston TX.
I'm not asking anyone to go on strike in front of city hall. I'm just asking people to sign a petition and pass it on before the B/S law get's out of control
