shaved steps

Has any one shaved their side steps on a s-10 or sonoma?
I ordered a kit from aim industrites that is all steel even the side steps i got them cheap because they were looking for some one to test fit their new steel step shavers. All i had to pay for was the roll pan and they are including the step shaver panels which are steel for free but i have to make them fit. Just wondering if anyone has put any brand of step shavers on and can offer me some advice.
I am also looking for a set of the black retro 3d tail lights if any one has a pair for sale.

I havent done it yet but east coast customs has a Xtreme side step shaver for $200. They also have one for non-Xtreme aplacations. The kit includes roll pan and sides that are made of plastice the good kind. As fare as I know there kit uses the factory mounts.
