Can I use a series 3 carrier, with series 2 gearing if using a carrier spacer?
or Im i thinking backwards? series 3 has a thicker gear ring that series 2 right?
Im looking to use 3.08s series 2 on a series 3 carrier(7.65"), would this
be what Im looking for:
link (http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=eproduct.asp&N=120+4294925134+4294839047+302917) or part number MRG-900A at summit.

The desription is messed up (it says the same thing for mutiple,
differnt items) look at the chart, says series 2 link (http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=esearch.asp&N=100&Ntk=PartSearch&Ntt=MRG-900A&x=17&y=8)

if you have a carrier that is for a numerical lower ratio you can use a thick gear set insted of getting a new carrier.

Hmm, I was jsut checking to see if this spacer does the
job. Im probably gonna be using series 2, 3.08s on a series
3 zexel. I dont really wanna get new gears cause I'll be
ditching the 3.08s sooner or later .

Also I couldnt find those richmond gears. I found this chart thing
http://www.richmondgear.com/01pdfs/page8.pdf
No series 3, 3.08:1 ratio? and its showing the 27 spline for the 7.625"....
Wtf I thought there were only 26 & 28

arnt 1990+ 28 spline execpt for 2wd applications????
