Anyone know of any sites that might have some half way decent prices for mini lightbars and Siren/speaker kits for my truck? I'm coming off of my probationary period and going to full status and need these for responding to calls. Any help would be appreciated. :ssj:

Only problem is I would have to buy a second one for the rear as they are requiring us to have a 360 degree view now

I got this switch box at the emergency vehicle supply for next to nothing. I've got the strobes. It's going on a golf cart for parade duty. you might try looking through the phone book you can get some sweet deals on used equipment.

You guys are lucky. Red,Blue and sometimes [green, (I guess it depends on the mood of the officer)] are illegal to have on your ride. I got a $11 fix it ticket for having red lights for my washer nozzles on my hood. I think as long as you are not trying to impersonate the police than you should be able to have what ever color you want. Its not like people are riding around with red and blue strobes in their grills and on the roofs of their rides. I think it is a dumb law. It just gives cops something else to keep them busy. I don't see what the problem is with a red or blue glow coming from the grill, the actual light isn't showing, and I haven't seen any cops with red or blue lights for washer nozzles, so whats the big deal. I'm sure everyone can tell the difference between a car with lights for show and a firetruck, ambulance, or a cop.

eh, i had a cop pull me over for red ones, ticketed me and when i brought it to court, the judge dismissed it and told me he couldnt believe the cop was wasting his time.
