Im gonna be flushing my radiator this thursday, and i was kinda stumped on what kind of coolant to put in. What do you guys prefer?

What year make and model is you truck? Does it use the orange stuff(Dex-cool)? I have a 93 but I think the newer ones recomend Dex-cool. I always use Prestone anti freeze 50-50 but I am not sure if there is really a big difference.

I still run the Dex-Cool and haven't had problems, although I flush it every summer, and I sure as hell don't leave it in for 100,000 miles or 5 years or whatever the hell other crazy lifespans they claimed it was good for. Lot's of people on here will recommend flushing it out and replacing it something else. It's caused a lot of people a lot of time and money.

I have 80k on my dime. Been flushed twice, looked like ass both times. No more orange.
Green Prestone would be a better choice.

In my 96 S10 it recomended Dex-cool. I thought the same thing. I use the green prestone and have been using it for years, never failed me before, why change now. What are the benefits, if any, of Dex-cool?

Only if you have man boobies! But then I wouldn't recomend posting too many pics on the net anyway! Next thing you know you ll be on one of those inspirational posters motivating people to work out more and stop eating MCD's.
