Do you ever wonder what happines to your vehicle when it gets sold? This is my girlfriends 1994 firebird that I sold for her about 2 months ago. I got this emailed to me today. Im trying to figure out what exactally happined and what is gonna happen with it (Possible donor 3.4 and 5 spd trans? ) Thought I should share

You mean you're thinking of yanking the motor and tranny out of it? I don't think it's a good idea, unless you do a FULL rebuild and have that bugger fully acid-cleaned, tranny too. You never know how bad the person ragged on it, and it was submerged in water.

On the other hand, if you're thinking of swapping a 3.4 into it, I still wouldn't -- that interior is going to STINK once it dries. Plus, with the way they've got that strap run through the windows, I'm willing to bet that if it didn't torque the frame (well, unibody) going into the ditch, then the crane sure as hell did pulling it out.

Either way, I wouldn't touch that thing with a ten-foot pole at this point.

Thanks supercharged, but I was kidding. If i take the time to pull and put a motor in, it is gonna be a small block. No sense doing all that work for another v6. This happiend this week.

I bout cried when I saw that. I had some of the best sex of my life in the backseat of that car. (thought I should share!)
