because of the local weather patterns are quite interesting at this point in time. heck i was out working in the driveway yesterday in short sleeves and right now it is barely above freezing and raining...

Here is my frame brace story.

I had a day off so I wanted to put it in. I was by myself so I didn't want to try and take the bed off with the engine hoist and quite frankly I wouldn't trust taking my bed off with some of my friends. so I figured I'd loosen up the bolts on the bed and raise it up some to get it in there. Ended up raising the bed about 6" using wooden blocks on top of the mounts. Tried to put it in and it would slide up in there so I took off the exhaust. Tried again and it wouldn't fit. So then I dropped the gas tank some. Not completly but as far as the strap would allow it. I was finally able to slide it in after turning and twisting it several times. I spent about 8 hours for taking it apart and putting everything back together but at least I didn't scratch anything.

In my opinion, get a couple buddies you trust and pull the bed off. You could probably get it done in half the time.
