the late first gen blazers came with ABS, 4 wheel style. i believe on both two and four wheel drive versions.
im wondering if i can swap this into my 1st gen truck (87), and what all would be involved. reason im asking is that i actually loke ABS, and since im going to the hassle of the swap of LS1 front and rear discs, i may as well go all the way with ABS too.

i know id need the pump, computer, custom lines, wheel speeed sensors (rotors? brackets? rear axle?)build a wiring harness, and probably a yaw sensor, but is there anything else? the only threads o find are aboput removing the ABS for one reason or another, not retrofitting it.

lastly, was the ABS any good in these trucks?

thanks for any help.

The 2001+ ABS systems were actually decent, but it is only a 3 channel. The RWABS and the earlier models were absolute rubbish. You would need to upgrade to the 98+ spindles that support the ABS.
