ok im tired of the s10 grill and i like the way the nomas look cause they look like denalis when they have the grill insert. im just wondering what would i have to do to keep s10 head lights with the noma grill. let me know
you need noma lamps, grill, bumper, and valance to to do the swap. you can get all this at a salvage yard, but just for kicks let's total repro and oe parts .
grill: repro $150
oe $250
bumper:repro N/L
oe $199
bumper cover: repro N/L
oe:$120-400(dependeing on trim package)
head lamps repro N/L
oe:150 ea (complete)
over 700bux for new parts and most of it's not offered as reprodution parts, like I said hit the salvage yards you can cut that down to around 200-300 bux

well i mean i already got an xtreme and i thought you could use the s10 bumper?
you could. it would take a little bit of fab work on the bumper to get the noma grill to fit
the noma bumpers have a recess in them for the grill. If you can weld you could put this ressec in an s-10 bumper.
someone post a pick of a noma so he can see what i'm talking about

i think he means makin a s10 and sonoma grille one piece like on a sierra, you know and open mount but with a bar between the h-lights and corners...

im talkin about taking a sonoma grill and head lights and then put a denali style grille insert that has the holes in it. if i could i would probably just buy a denali but i dont have money for all that. lol
anything can be done. it's just a matter of figureing out how to do it.

look at the pic that i posted in xtreme airdam on sonoma. it will all bolt on with no problem, but you will have an empty space to deal with between the lights and top of the front bumper. but, if yu do decide to go that way, you might as wel lgo all out and get gmc envoy headlights from a 2000

ok i went and looked at the guys car domain page and im wonderin why he didnt just use his stock sonoma bumper and just take off the valance? i mean cause if you can do that the air dam should just bolt up right? maybe im lookin at this wrong but i think it can be done
i can't find the pic, but i thinck i remeber it. he converted from a noma to an s-10 right? a noma grill woun't fit an s-10 though because of the s-10 bumper. As for as the core support and mounting holes go the s-10 and sonoma are the same.
you have 3 choises when converting an s-10 to a noma. rework the grill, rework the bumper are put a noma bumper on. the lights are interchageable no mater what you do.
