So I had this truck since 2000. Its a 94 LS EX-Cab w/a Vortec 4.3 H.O.,4L60e,W/8.5 rear end & 3.23 gears. It had around 36000 miles on it. Now 140,000 miles. Still no problems. Did the normal window tint,Street Scene mirrors,4-5 drop.TBI,Trans & ignition upgrade,Edelbrock TES 2.5 in full exhaust. Got ZQ8 wheels W/ 225X55-16 & 255X50-16 BFGs. Wings West 3 piece rear Spoiler, And a Sony thump system. Showed,Cruzed & Raced,Added a Zex kit,Raced. Went 14.49@103 w/2.47 60 ft. Best time at Ozark International Raceway, Rogersville,Mo. Then the deer tried dodge truck and lost. Drove it like that for a year. Then it was stored for two years. Now my plans are for a V/8 upgrade. And all that goes with the swap. The first thing I've done was to tear it all down. Now I've begun the rebuild. It stared with the installation of a 8.8 w/4.10 & mini spool. Plus their will be some minor mods,to the frame, and a heat & air delete, etc . Hope you like the pics. Any feed back is Welcome.http://www.s10planet.com/forum/picture.php?albumid=100&pictureid=953

What did you get the 8.8 out of and how was the installation?
What kind of modifications did you have to do to get it in?
I ran into a guy at the track who had a 1st gen dime with a built 350 with an 8.8 in it.
I think he had said he got it from an explorer but it was over a year ago and wasnt able to talk to him after that to find about what he had to do to get it in.

I got mine out of a 98 Explorer that way I got a disc brake upgrade at the same time. Had no problems with the install. I'm having to use a 6.5 in back-spaced wheel because their about 6 ins wider then a S10. Would work with no mods in a Blazer. Also the spring pads are 1/2 in wider on the housing. But that is taken up in the slack of the spring pads. also the drive shaft will have to be shortened up. Then the upper shock mounts have to be relocated. That's all I did to install it. But any Explorer rear end will work. That's all I know for now about them. Thanks for asking.

That's correct Nitrous Oxide, Best bang for the buck! Hard to say 75 to 125 shoot, I'd adjust accordingly to track conditions.

I know I,ve been gone along time. Hard times hit here,Besides the countries problems. Haven't done a lot to Major Motion, Pics of the small things I've done so far, have been added to my photobucket album. Got the rear end swapped w/ test rubber, pulled out all of the heat & air I won't be using at the track,(Its worth the $ they want to fix those leaking heater cores lots of work to fix it right),swapped the seats, started changing the interior color to gray not finished yet more pics to come, added red pulsating light to the rear piliers. Still a long way to to go! ETC ?
