How dependable is ebay? They have alot of bids for brand new in the box dell computers. They have to ship what they advertise right? Never bought anything on ebay and didn't want my first time to be a bad experience.
Ebay can be good, but it can be dangerous as well. Best bet is to check out the sellers feedback. If they don't have 99.9%+ positive feedback look else where. If you realy realy want it and they don't have 99.9%+ feedback, go read what the negative feedback was about, and then make your own choice of if it is worth the risk.
I've gotten some great deals of ebay from electronics to car parts, but just like anything else it takes research and a healthy dose of buyer beware. If it's too good to be true, well you know the saying.
Oh and if possible use paypal and a credit card, that way you have some recourse if the sellers runs with the money (I personaly don't do the paypal verified account, I'm not giving paypal a direct link to my checking account! They can deal with the credit card).
I tryed it once for a hood. it wasn't packaged right and got warped. 3 years and I still haven't got all my money back and i when through hell getting what I did get back. Ebay asumes no liabilty for their sellers. Insurance dosn't cover shiping. paypal can get ****ed. The seller had no negative feedback and had well over 200 positive comments, but as i found out if you sell on ebay useing certain hosts you can buy comments.
we'er not going to talk this guy I ust to work with that got 90 days and 5 years probations for stolen property because of a 4 wheeler he got on ebay. ebay will not release the seller name or adress. paypal woun't hold up in court.
the internet is a great plase to rip someone off so be smart about who deal with. never rush into a sale, because if it's to good to be true, IT IS.
