Found out today im alergic to brake kleen the hard way. Rebuilding a carb and didnt have any carb cleaner, so used the kleen. The palm of my hand is red and feels like it is on fire. Damn, I am thinking I need to go get this checked out.

It dose the same thing to me, but it goes away after a couple of days. I use rubber gloves now.

the palm of my hand is ghost white except for a few places where it is blood red. defiately gonna get it checked out tomorrow

That sucks man, happened to me one during an engine rebuilt; we use oven cleaner to clean the parts down right and let me tell you, don't forget the gloves when you use that...

as far as using the oven cleaner, how did it work? I am rebuilding an old holley carb during my down time here at work, and it is covered with ****. i would like to polish it but the dremmel wheels i have been using have just been getting eaten down so quickly. i want to get the old grime off with a minimum of work, but i dont want to use a truck load of those wheels to get the **** off of it.
