5 speed trans

wanting a 5 speed trans either a NV3500 or a T5. bassicallt it needs to bolt up to a 97 350 block. thanks

Your trans wouldn't work behind a small block, even on it's best day.. yet alone bolt up to it. Totally wrong bolt pattern.

It would bolt up if you use a 82 to 92 F-Body bell or a Astro bell with a T-5. It depends on how you drive it.

You'd need to grind away at the clutch disc spline location to get it to clear, for starters... & the trans was rated at some ridiculously low level. I think somewhere around 200 hp or ft/lbs.. it'd work but w/ all the effort to get it in it's not worth all the hassle to have to pull it again after a good romp. It's a time bomb behind anything w/ any kind of power.. & I'm guessing, since it'll be behind a 350, that he doesn't plan on granny shifting. Just my opinion..
