If you load the GT3 it gives you not only the cash but your A and B licence as well which is a major time saver. This game is a 5 out of 5 for me, infact it completely blows away any other game but i still like NFSU 1 and 2.
I havent finished gt3. Probably wont now. I already have the gto modded to 576hp around those numbers, and a srt4. Got the caddillac v12. sold an old skyline from the 60s and a old ff car. Have the acura concept. And i have a lotis elise the old one. 100,000k helps out getting a fast car to win against slow cars.
got it the other day been playing ever since 15% done got all licences accept the s and even thats half done. I didnt use anything from gt3. I started off with a mitsubishi lancer its up to 450 hp. and my best car so far has to be nissan 350 z limited edition race car with like 500 hp holly sh*t that car handles good. I need practice on the rallys though I aint that good at them yet.

not to spoil anyones fun but I just won the most useless car in the game. 1886 road carriage its got 1hp at 650 rpms and has a top speed of 12 mph.

what is gt4?
Grand Turismo 4 -- I've played GT1 and GT2, but not 3 or 4 -- I only have a Playstation, and not a PS2.
^^^^^^^^ Buy a ps2 and gt4, you will lose intrest in gt1 and 2 very quickly. This game is the most realistic I have ever played. Freaking awesome.

I use the Castrol TOM'S Supra as much as I can. I got 100% of GT3 done just a few months ago. I am only about 6% into it right now, but I NEVER lost a race! If you get all gold in the 1a or 1b licence tests you get a 2022 NIKE concept car! It looks freakin awesome!

I will experement tonight w/ it. But for now try adjusting the understeer side of the asm stronger. I run w/ the TCM @ all the time! But I drift race tho'.

usually as soon as I get a car I turn off all the driving aids. for the suspension I lower it almost all the way (5-10mm above the lowest) than I bump the springs up from what ever there set at to about 1 higher (not .1 but 1). and then the the shocks up about one and maybe the sway bars. this will make the car handle pretty good but it will have no weight transfer so in the low gears it will spin tires. plus I put a wing on every car (even though it looks stupid on things like my 70 chevelle) and put as much down force as possible.
but that is set for my driving style every one will be different
oh and every used car you buy needs to have an oil change.
it also helps if you read things like during the licenses it tells you some of the easy ways around the track. when you go to buy parts for the car it tells what they do. and when you go to set up the car it tells each things advantages and disadvantages.

Ok! 8.579 in the 1/4 w/ the Escudo Pikes peak car, and 294.55 mph w/ the AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR.
Alright, I gotta ask, what is the HP of the Escudo in GT4?
I ask because in GT2 it was 981, and in GT3 it was up to 1835.

In GT3, you could buy a car, do an oil change, and you could get extra horsepower on it. Does that work in GT4??

Ok I bought it last night..... BUT.... The damn things saves every car that I buy. Can I turn this off? I turned off the auto save but it still saves when I buy a car so I can't play with cars like on gt3 then just re-load the save.

for those of you stuck in figuring out what car to use for the stupid ass K-car cup...go to the used shop and buy yourself a Honda Beat...its a MR car but it kicks ass in a major way after you do the NA tuning on it...my Skyline GS 99 is sitting ata nice 787hp plus nitrous...all wheel drive that whips some serious bootay!

I use a skyline too fully modded 02 gt-r. I have found it to kick more ass if you buy the power dist. computer and make the power 90% rear and 10% front. then go to the driving aids and put the oversteer @ 3 and understeer @ 15.
anybody else open up the endurance races yet. theres 3, 24 hour races and ones around that 12 mile long german track (yeah I have no clue what the name of it is). but first place is worth $1,200,000. I havent done it yet. and I have been trying to win a fast car but nothing is fast enough for my to win the last races in the profesional races.(that way i can unlock the extreme events).
You are going to have to work on the lower races to really get your skill up to win the last professional races. Because you can't rely on the performance to allow you to win if you make mistakes as you advance in the game.
I got a car now that can keep up so I'm just gonna have to work at it.

All you need is a large rubberband, and a C clamp.
And an Escudo with hard tires.

thats the one...
its even easier in gt4 you just get a much better car than the others play the indurances in b spec mode. I just make sure i'm winning in the first few laps and than leave it alone. just set speed to 3 or 4 and turn on the overtake (passing) button and your all set. it even pits by it self. plus if you press r1 it will bring you to a different screen and than hold down l1 and press right you can get the race to go 3 times faster (but if you go back to race screen it slows down and when it pits it will slow down). just check it every now and than and you'll be fine.

Is there an option for different player profiles? There are 3 of us and we want to play our own profiles but can't find a way to do so.
there finally letting you play lol. try taking out the memory card before you turn on the playstation (so it wont auto load) and then put the card in and just start a whole new game.

anyone done the enduro races yet? Im doing the Nurburgring 24 and ive got 6 hours left...so boring.
yes it it a full 24 hour race I think there 3 of them one on the Nurburgring and 2 on another track that i cant think of the name right now.
Ugh.
May have to go Bspec on those 3. . .
On a different note, the Saleen S7 is crazy fast (and manuverable as hell). I had it up to 237 and only halfway thru 6th gear before I ran outta track. . . . .

I have a caddy and that hooker hauls arse...... I can get it up to 280mph and it'll do 8.91 in the 1/4
quick update. i'm 46% complete I finally got the gran turismo f1 and holly sh*t this thing can handle. and right now i'm doing the f1 races dam there long theres like 70 plus laps on each race and theres like 10 or 15 races i cant remember. but the gran prize is 3,000,000.
Damn.
I am only at 1%.
Lost my saved game which was up to 28%.
