How hard is it to swap a fleetside bed for a stepside?

i did the swap its all the same...except the fuel "pipe" that goes to the gas tank is shorter thats it

But is it something I could do in a day or afternoon? I live in an apartment with no garage or carport with only basic tools.

yea just get sum friends to help lift the bed..its heavy. it would probly take an hour or so.

..don't forget to change the bumper. Stepsides use a narrower bumper.

I could do it in two hours flat... alone... with my lift. Done it 50 times I bet.

Of course there are some extra brackets to hold and stiffen the step areas. But its all easy and the holes are already there. Just get some help lifting it off. Get all the parts from the donor truck.
