Alright,
I am going to be doing some stuff to my Blazer this summer and need some help deciding weather to drop it 2- 3 inches, or to lift it 2 inches. It is a 4dr 4x4.

What would the ground clearance be if I dropped it 2 inches?
I will occasionally need it to go offroad on some trails to get to and from rifle ranges, and need to know what the clearance is.

Honestly I hate the look of our trucks lifted up. I would say drop it if you arnet plannin on drivin off road. If you lowered it 2" your ground clearance would be 2" less
duh

4WD?............Lift it. I would have to go higher than 2"s though.

Whats the standard ground clearance?
It isnt as bad offroad use as it sounds, ppl often bring cars in over the trails, but it makes it easier to have 4WD.

I normally would say raise it but 2" isn't enough. they just dont look that good only raised alittle. so I am gonna say lower it 2-3 inches. I only lowered mine because it was cheaper than going up. my old blazer had a 6" lift in it looked great but it cost $2000 and I lowered my current truck for about $40.

a body lift is a cheap way to get up to 3 inches of lift. With 3 inches you can run around 33 inch tires. Then you can do add a leafs in the rear and a little tbar crank and you would add around another 2 inches. If you want to go higher then that you would need a lift kit which is expensive

Go with a suspension lift and some nice tires to match.

4x4 = LIFT
4x2 = DROP

'Nuff said?

But don't forget the brush guards or step rails!

I agree! That is about the best way I have heard it put so far. Thank You, some else agrees:D Dont kill the talent of the 4WD by dropping it, and bring out the character of the 2WD by dropping it
