My 2000 Blazer is stumbling/missing a little. No SES's. It seems to happen right around the time it should shift. I was thinking to things.
I used to have the IGn box on it. I hear they can be hard on ign components. Which is the first to usually go bad?
Also, I have a sneaky suspicion that my cat might be bad. I have a slight rattling noise coming from around that area. I can't hear anything rattling if I get under it and bang on it. It doesn't happen all the time either. Just at certain rpms. Right around 1200-1500. Could a chunk be floating around in there causing a restriction. That could cause a stubble can't it? Maybe? I might just have it cut off anyways. I'm sure it can't be in that good of shape. Since the tune I had when the Jammer was on it probably made the truck run real rich.

You know, I got 2 trucks that use all the same parts pretty much with different problems. I just know think about switching things around to see what happens. Why didn't I think of that earlier?

Yeah I'm lazy to. I make this thread to get suggestions to what to check first in the hope that what I check first will be the problem and I won't be chasing sh!t down. :D

Checked cap, rotor, coil. All good. Put some 93 in it and it stopped. This truck is cursed with getting bad gas. IDK how many times I thought I had a problem then found out it was bad fuel. :o So thats good news :)

Are you sure you don't have some water in your tank? I would run to the store and buy a jug of straight up Metholhydrate and dump some in your tank. It will "soak" up any water in the tank and burn it. Metholhydrate won't hurt your system at all.

I'll do that tomorrow. It probably does. I was planning on changing the fuel filter again as well. It's been awhile and to many times have I got crappy fuel.

No E85 that I've seen down here. If diesel was put in it I would think it wouls smoke like hell. I wouldn't put it past her though. :p
