alright guys and gals. sorry i haven't been on in a while but things have been well and i'm finally into my slow season. time for working on the truck!!!!

now that jim is paid off its time for surgery. did all ball joints and steering linkage last weekend. next is lowering jim. i got coils already. 3 inch. so i'll have the bottoming out issue if i don't do something else up front.

spindles or LCA's???????????

i got 3 inch blocks for the back. new stops all around? or mod my 208K mile OE's.

my biggest issue is what shocks to order. summit is giving me issues. this i will need input from mike, 87, or sparky. i trust you guys to know and possibly find me part #s. this is my first go round on doing stuff not so stock so i'm not going all out on the parts. toxics will work for the time being.

sorry to write a novel here but i'm anxious to get to work!

did i mention i paid it off early!!! WOOOO! thank you guys very much in advance!

WTF? What happened to my post?

Screw Summit, they have nothing for a 3+ front drop.
Stylin" Trucks has them. Go with the Belltech Nitro 2

*just looked at the price, you should be able to find them cheaper*

How low are you planing? Spindles or LCA's won't help with bottoming. With the 3" spring you will have to trim your bump stops or you could try ZQ8 bumpstops. GM part #15956547 and you can get them from GM parts direct.

And of course, welcome back. Stick around this time you SOB.

thanx wildside. things have been crazy round here lately. new house and new baby and all. still working on a computer. barrowing this one from fam. i guess i've come to the conclusion of selling my coils and just going with spindles. since its my daily i guess i'll get the better shocks too.

With spindles you can get away with using stock shocks, however I still use a drop shock for stiffer valving.

i would stick with stock spindles as long as possible youll probly run into bump steer and other problems, but on the other hand its really not that bad. just my 2 cents
