I'm thinking about hooking my laptop up in my truck but i'm not sure where i can put it.. i want it to be out of the way for when i need it. I'm going to be playing songs from it instead of using a cd this was i can have everything where i want it. Anyone have any idea where this can go?

Also is there a specific way this needs to be hooked up or do i just run the wire from the laptop speaker jack to the audio in jack on the back of the deck?
edit: I almost forgot it's a 1996 sonoma std. 2.2L standard cab.

I have thought bout doin that too. However in a standard cab w/ a stick there is not a whole lot of room. To cable issue: if your deck has a AUDIO in plug in than you are good to go w/ a male to male headphone jack, if not than try a male to male headphone/ rca jack.

A real easy way to get sound from your laptop to your receiver is to get a portable FM transmitter(available @ wal-mart or any store that has electronics) for about $20 or $30, the only problem is that the one I have requires me to turn the volume almost all the way up.

I hate FM transmitters, but it WILL work, if you want CD quality don't use a FM transmitter. If you dont mind it sounding like a radio station than by all means.
