Hammer Head

Weld them on.

Bootlegger's Deluxe

Dont listen to them. Welding them on wont help. You need plastic epoxy and duct tape so you can still take them off when you need to do your brakes and tires!

We would like to help but we need details. What kinda truck? 2wd? 4wd? What are the rims off of? Bolt patter? tire size?

Bootlegger's Deluxe
02-28-09, 06:17 PM
Basically, what we are all saying is you need to give us a lot more information... backspacings, bolt patterns, what your truck is...

also, try the search button, it does wonders!!

spideyjected
02-28-09, 06:18 PM
OK seriously, all joking aside. Do the studs line up with the holes? Do they rub on stuff? You either need spacers or different rims probably. IDK what else to say. If the backspacing is off then they wont work without spacers. Do you have pictures of the rims?

nickb
02-28-09, 07:33 PM
the truck im putting them one is a 88 2wd s10.
i dont know what they are off of the dude that i bought them from said they came off a 90s model s10 2wd. no the studs dont line up with the holes, the holes are to close together on the rims. ill get pictures of them tommorow.

Mikz86TA
03-01-09, 02:57 AM
Then they didnt come off any S-series. The S-series hasnt changes bolt patterns since the truck has been in existence. Only diff is the offset foe 2wd vs 4wd.
U got some bad info.
Get ur money back and hit the guy on the head with a hammer for selling u them

Not if the studs won't line up. I'd throw them at whoever sold them to you, demand my money back, and throw a Diva tantrum until they gave it to me.

You can buy an adapter but they will run like $100 a wheel and they will make the rims stick out really far. Not to mention they are not the safest way to go. I would get your money back or sell them and buy some that are a direct fit. IMO.

Slacker1357
03-01-09, 04:33 PM
I dont like those... IMO of course...

I've seen alot of vehicles with those on lately... just horrible for alot of them. Only very few cars they look okay on...

spideyjected
03-02-09, 06:40 PM
I think thats not right. I'm pretty sure that the 5 bolt pattern is the same on the trucks, just the offsets are different.

Hammer Head
03-02-09, 07:10 PM
GM truck wheels are 5 on 5.. just like astro vans & the geo tracker. Not the 5 on 4.75 like camaro/corvette/s10.

Mikz86TA

would adapters work?

They make adapters to change the bolt pattern, yes.
But you will also be converned that the adapters are essentially spacers. So they will offset the wheel outward at least 1" or more. Check on the spacing first and figure out if they will look dumb first before spending a bunch of money

ill get some pics up after i get out of school today.

Amarican Racing Wheels have got some good wheels for s10's. But Corvette Rally's is a popular and cheap alternitive choice for an S10. I got as wide as 15X10 rally wheel on my 83 S10, yes they scrubed, but they came off of a 71 corvette and they where only $250 no rust with tires. And they looked awsome on wm truck.

nickb
03-03-09, 05:00 PM
well im wantin to put 15X10s or 16x10s all the way around.... but thing with that the front would rub.

They didn't rub that bad, only when I took tight turns when they scrubed, I only lost a-half aturn in my steering wheel, not even that, 1/4 of a turn at the very lease. I did drop the back of my truck 1in. in the back with blocks to help. I really didn't have any major problem with 10" wide wheels.

Heres a pic of my old S10 with 15x10 rallys. Nice. 5 stars don't you think?

Camaro 5 spokes are my wheel of choice...today. Truck is in the sig, they're actually pretty sharp. I used to sell wheels for a living, and, as anyone of the other regulars will tell you, I'm kind of a wheel whore. I own something like 20 sets of wheels for my trucks, not counting the sets that are on there now... yes, 20 sets, so 80 wheels total...

Trust me, their 10" wide. The derby caps is the only cap that would fit on the truck due to the front hub. But I just like the old style look it gave. I'll try to find another pic of the truck, becaues it does look like I got 8's on it in this pic.

you could always go with a set of cragar wheels from summitt racing most of the 15 in rims on there run about 40 a rim so they are pretty cheap
