Hi,

I have a 2003 Chevy S10 ZQ8 and I think I have an oil leak. I bought the truck from a maroone and I 've only had the truck from 2 months. When I was looking at the carfax report, they replaced the intake manifold 3 years ago. Idk if they did both the upper or lower. There is oil on my driveway and on the oil pan and I also scraped the intake manifold and I found like oily sludge there. Where do you guys think the leak is coming from?

Thanks

Is toward the rear of the oil pan? Right around where the trans mounts to the pan? That might be the rear engine seal. The oil cooler lines are known for leaking as well.

The oil on the upper part of the engine could be valve covers gaskets leaks.

If you oil pan gasket is leaking, it's better to just leave it alone. You have to pull the engine on the 2wd's to change that gasket.

Well I just saw oil on the pan and im guesing it is getting slung from driving. I scraped the intake manifold and I found oily sludge so I was suspecting it was the intake manifold gasket becuase I dont know how oil can be there. Im having maroone check it out tomorrow and hopefully they will accept my warranty. Remember the manifold was replaced 3 years ago but I dont know if they did both gaskets.
