1998 GMC sonoma SS??

Is there anything I should know about this truck?
I am about to buy it.
It is a 4cyl., 81,xxx mi., auto, standard cab, SS.
What is special about the SS?

perhaps that there is no super sport sonoma...or did you mean ss s-10?? ss is chevy all the way. is it a newer sonoma recreated into a sonoma gt...which came out in 1992, but it wouldn't make sense to turn a newer sonoma with 4cyl into a sonoma gt. how bout a pic so we can know what make model your talking about...cause i'm not familiar with a chevy sport package gmc truck...

There is no Sonoma SS. The truck your looking at has to be a clone. The SS model is a Chevy S10 with a 195hp 4.3L CPI engine, ZQ8 suspension and wheels, and a 8.5" rear with the G80 locker.

I will get a pic. From what I can tell it has silver racing stripes, a silver sonoma logo written on the lower part of the door, then has a silver SS on the bed where the ZR-2 would be on a s-10. Under the hood is the same 4 cyl I have. it has the somoma rims and grille/ lights.

Yeah, don't think there is a GMC SS package...I think they just threw together a bunch of decals and emblems and put it on the truck

hum an ss with a 4 banger under the hood!!! seems kinda pointless. I'm not saying it dosen't exsist, but i've never seen an ss with a 4cyl.
Gmc had the yc7 trim pakage, more commonly know as the sport from 96 till 99 and now know as the zq8. it was the same as an SS. i read that in the lmc catalog. It's kinda hard to remeber all the trim pakages that gm puts out.

I am keepin my truck. The SS doesnt look factory but it does look diffrent. It doesnt have the SS plastic emblem anywhere on it.
