Ok hopefully someone will respond pretty quick. My bf is freakin out because he heard on another forum (a mitsubishi forum) that if you put this lucas transmission additive in your tranny..it will make your tranny go bad. Anyone heard this before?

I know this is in the open forum..but hopefully someone will read it fast and I can give him a quick answer

Never heard of it! But most put these additive's in becuase they have a trans going bad. No additive will stop a trans from going bad! IMO

I didnt think so....I guess the tranny seems to want to slip and my dad took it upon himself to put this lucas stuff in it without asking...and then we heard it will make it go bad. but yeah..i thought that was dumb

be cool guys. we don't bash for asking a question on this forum unless it's redvoy.

some adittives act diffent in newer computerised tranny(don't use b&m trick shift or transX in computer tranys for sure). Lucas is not one of them. Although if they had read the instuction it says use it before a fluid change. In outher words it's not meant for prolonged use. It's a cleaner and cleans all the gum out of the lines and valve body and puts it in the filter hence the need to change the filter and fluid after use.
