I have a 1993 GMC JIMMY and I wanted to put in a tranny temp gauge and tach gauge. How hard is this to do?

For the tranny temp I used a autometer electric gauge. Two wires for the light and 3 wires for the gauge. The hot for the light I tapped into off the light switch. The ground for the light and gauge I screwed to the firewall brace for the dash under the speaker grille. The the ignition on I hooked to a wire under the dash (used a prope but it was purple I think). Signal wire runs down to the tranny. I ran it down under the carpet and through the boot for my 4x4 shifter.
Tachs normally need the light spliced in(see above), ignition on, ground and signal. The ground and igniton are the same as above. The signal you have a few choices. You can take it to the coil, to the alt (p on the plug on a cs130), or look for the white wire with a brown tracer (stripe) going into the ECM under the dash.
