well, starting halfway thorugh spring break (this coming up Thursday, the 19th)...my brother and I are going to tackle a lovely project of swapping a new 4.3L into his '91 blazer....we plan on having it done by Sunday night, the 22nd. In my last blazer, I swapped from a 2.8L to a carb'd 4.3L in about 3 days (including tranny). So hopefully we will be able to get this done before we both have to go back to school. And I'm wanting to make sure we have everything we might need because we are going to be out of town from the 16th-19th. So today and tomorrow is our last chance to get anything especially if it'll have to be ordered.

Here's what we have so far.....

long block 4.3L (we think all gaskets are included, haven't opened box yet)
Edelbrock Performer Intake
oil pump
new starter
water pump
flywheel
clutch
spark plugs
plug wires

we have to swap all of the accessories and brackets over (obviously) and we are going to use all of the sensors (it has a new temp sensor and thermostat)

we still have to get:

oil and filter
gasket sealer
distributor cap and rotor

we may also get:

clutch slave cylinder
top and lower radiator hoses
belt
air filter
fuel filter
exhaust manifold bolts
intake manifold bolts

He was really wanting to get headers so we don't have to fight with the rusty stock bolts and manifolds but no one around here has them and i think it's too late to order them.

Anyway, does anyone have any other suggestions that you think we are leaving out? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Coolant.....

If your want stock headers then order from Rockauto.com, we have a discount code as a sticky in the open forum section

If you want aftermarket headers then summitracing generally can get it to you in 2 days

I take it that it was a 4.3L, so you have a throttle body and a distributor already... can't think of anything to add other than beer. ;)
