I have seen the sunbird cluster swap mentioned on here a few times, I'm looking for some more details on this swap. Thanks

Its the same as the typhoon or syclone cluster but without the boost gauge. Pretty much the same details in swapping them all out. I thought somebody over on v8s10 had a write up on it, have you looked over there too?
I looked on v8s10.org with no luck. I found a sonoma gt set on ebay, but i'm clueless on what it would take to install them. I've considered a 110 mph auto cluster, and swaping out the plate that blocks the detent selector hole.
I had started doing a Sunbird cluster swap on my old 2wd Blazer, but gave up on it... I'll check with the guy I sold the cluster to and see if he's done the swap yet.

The dash bezel is wider in the GT, SY and TY.

Here is a used bezel.

The sonoma Gt cluster I found comes with the surround, so that shouldn't be a problem. My main concern is the wiring. Will I have to mess with the pins in the connector?
You may have to repopulate the connector OR wire in a new one... I don't remember now... just make sure you get the connector and some wire from your donor in case. I sure wish I kept those sunbird wiring diagrams! Thankfully GM wires are all pretty much the same colors for all vehicles, so if you get the donor's connector and wiring, it should be pretty straight forward.
Found some info on an old work CD that had stuff from my computer at my old job...
It looks like you will have to cut the S10 dash harness and wire in a Sunbird cluster connector in order to do this conversion. The Sunbird pin locations are as follows:
Wire Color & Circuit # on Sunbird, Sunbird Connector Position, (Notes), S10 Connector Position
empty, A (from boost pressure sensor on Turbo Sunbird)
tan/blk 456, B (manual upshift lamp - position is empty on auto transmission models), 4
empty, C
empty, D
empty, E
empty, F
empty, G
empty, H
empty, I
empty, J
blk 150, K, (ground), 17
gray 8, L, (instrument cluster illumination lights), 1
yel 237, M, (seat belt lamp), 15
tan 31, N, (oil press sensor to oil press gauge), 9
pur 30, O, (fuel sender to fuel gauge), 8
pnk/blk 39, P, (12 volt ign source to gauges & lamps), 2 & 12
lt blu 14, Q, (left turn signal lamp), 18
dk grn 35, R, (coolant temp sensor to temp gauge), 6
brn 25, S, 3 to Sunbird gate ajar lamp (not req'd) - use for alternator failure lamp on S10
wht 852, T, 10 new wire to ABS light in instrument cluster - jumper wire req'd to function
tan/wht 33, U, (brake failure lamp), 5
brn/wht 419, V, (service engine lamp), 11
blu/blk 824, W, (electric speedometer), 14
dk blu 15, X, (right turn signal lamp), 7
lt grn 11, Y, (high beam lamp), 16
wht 121, Z, (add tach input wire into this position - position is normally empty on S10), 13
Had this in a spreadsheet, so I hope it makes sense....
I'm a newb when it comes to rewiring stuff, so I may pass on this mod til I can have someone more experienced give me a hand. The truck is my girls daily, so I can't really have it down too long trying to figure out wiring.
This may be a dumb question, but could I splice the end off of some blazer gauges onto this and have it be a plug and play?
