This one should be simple. Whats it gonna cost me to get my 4.3 ported and polished. Then valved and camed. One thing at a time or all together, and how much would I get out of each. I have my tax return comeing in three weeks or so. And was wondering what to do. Plus whats the gain on headers and pullys?

Open for ideas so let them fly.

a good port and polish will run at least 500 dollars it takes a good amount of time to do. Your best bet would be to get a die grinder and do it your self. Check out this link it is a good guide to how to port your own heads

with your current i-man and head breathing setup on a setup on a vortek your good for at least 400hp. you can work the bowls an little and put in bigger valves in heads, but the I-manifold is your bottle neck and you can't do much with it. it's really piontless to work the heads unless you get better i-man(WHENS THAT AFI INTAKE GOING TO BE READY). leave this work till you rebuild the whole engine so the engine machinist can match and test everything.

A cam will give you a little and is a good mod,but you need the right cam.Crower is your best choise here because Comp is out with the post 96 4/3s. go with headers and a charger. with the wynjammer 6psi you shouldn't need to mod much get a big power gain. that's about 3grand worth of stuff and the ricers woun't be laughing anymore.
