While your 94 may have center bolt valve cover that say "vortech" on them, it is not the same as the 2000. The "true" vortech heads started in 96 IIRC and are very different. You can't just take the 94 intake and bolt to the 2000 heads. It CAN be made to work, but it takes a lot of work. The biggest issue is that the intake bolt pattern is different on the 96+ vortech's. It will be a PITA to make it work. It's not a bolt-on-and-go deal. You can get a lot more useful info than I can give you here from the sy-ty guys. To more directly answer the question you asked, the heads will swap from block to block, yes. The issue will be that the intake won't swap from the pre-vortech heads to the vortech heads without a lot of work.

Why not use to 94 block, put the 00 heads on it, get a 2114 Edelbrock intake and put a carb on it? I'm thinking the 94 didn't have the balance shaft and might have a better cam? I know the 2000 has better heads.
