Hej! I have a problem with my S10 with the 4,3 L Vortec engine from 2002..
I have changed the termostat and waterpump!
But when i flush the heater with water i get heat in the coupé for
just about one day, then just cold air blows!
Somebody told me that it can be air in the system, but how exactly may
i get it all out??
Will be very happy for some help
Maybe some one can show some pics or something..

Search button is very helpful. If fact I think there was a thread on this about a week ago if you search for it. Probably dexcool gumming your cooling system up anyway. BTW, welcome to the planet.

Heater cores probably plugged. Undo Hose behind altenator, and the one on the bottle neck. Flush them with a high pressured hose (if you have one) back and forth. You'll know if its your core if they dont flow good ride off the get go. If they dont, keep cycling back and forth and it should free itself. Also helps to park the nose of the truck on a downhill facing.

Hopefully it does for you. If your running the dexcool coolant (the red stuff) I'd suggest draining your system and put some good stuff in there like prestone or something. After my switch I've had to flush my heater core 3 times in the last year.

Should be UPHILL. Air always rises to the highest point and you want the air to get the radiator so it get out.

So this happens all the time? It can just happen occasionally because NHL08 is just weird like that
