im done with audiobahn. my sub started rattlin so i thought it might have started comin loose from the box so i took it out and looked and then i cut it up a little with it outta the box and noticed a rip between the cone and the coil. now im out of a sub because i bought it from an "unauthorized dealer." now im on the hunt for a new one. any suggestions? im kind of partial to memphis and JL now so what ever yalls opinions of the 2 are is prolly what ill go with.

JL or Kicker. Can't go wrong with either. They are both from Stillwater-Credence Audio, so they're real similar to one another.

I've just recently started hearing about Memphis -- what I've heard is good, very good.

When I blew up my JL, i threw a memphis in there cuz it was cheep. If you want it, id sell it for 40 plus shipping. I got it cheep because I worked in a car audio store, and it was an 03 model. It is a 10 though. Not quite the punch of my JL, but it will out pound your audiobahn anyday

For the most part, they are. They have great advertising and marketing, but that's where it stops -- the products LOOK cool, but they aren't the same quality as other manufacturers.

I'm going to get some flames for this, but they are about the same as Rockford Fosgate: high-end price, low-end product.

not goin to flame about it, but i like my RF subs...no issues, CHEAP, and for $50 per HE2..im not complaining...but my next system will be JL or Kicker

The problem with Audiobahn is they have diversified their lines so much that they compete with themselves. They have cool lookin products, but there isnt anything to back it up. (hmm, kinda like ricers) Memphis is pretty decent. A buddy of mine competed in SPL comps with Memphis Subs and was pretty comptitive. The offer is still on the table. 40 plus shipping

my sister has 2 15" audiobahns and has no problems with them they even pound pretty hard and they look like a decent sub. her amp is audiobahn too and no problems with that either. but i still think my 18" kicker hits harder than her two 15" and her two have about the same watts as my one.

I have one Kicker 12 behind the seat and it hits like a mutha.They have been in the business for a VERY long time and stay up to date with their product.But JL makes quality stuff too.

I love my JLs. I would sleep with them but my wife woun't sleep on the couch to make room for the box.......well that and the box is bolted to cab wal and to the cab floor useing some extended body mount bolts. Great security, but a pain intheass if I ever get around to building a sleek form fitting fiberglass box for this truck.
