I have a 94 S-10..and 2 10 inch pioneer subs. There was a jack box behind the passenger seat..I ripped most of that out..what isn't attached to the frame or some ****. Its NOT an extended cab..so theres not a lot of room. I was wondering if anyone else has a 94 and easy way to get some subs to fit..thats built. I've got a few ideas..but wondered what anyone else could come up with.
the jack hold down is just tackwelded in, a drill and an hour will have the jack hold down gone. as for what you have. a coule of truck boxes would do nicley
here is my setup in a 1st gen std cab. it came out of another truck, so that is why there is no color match

Yeah I'm defintely gonna have to get the rest of that jack out. You just reminded me I need to get another amp.
What do you have now. If I remember right those subs arent really high RMS, so unless you have a walmart amp, you wont need anything else.

I have a 325W MTX amp. I just looked at it..it says rms is 2.217 hmmm
you dont need another amp. that is plenty. MTX is one of the few companys tha doesnt overrate their amps. Amperage is a lot like horsepower. A lot of times an amp will be rated as a high amperage, but when you look at rms, it is wayyy low. Your MTX amp probably has 180w RMS. You will overpower your subs if you use more. set them up in a Paralell bridged setup. Good times

Sounds good. My truck has been in the garage for the winter so when I get it back out..hopefully soon..I'll have to try it out. Thanks
you can hit em 800w and it woun't hurt them much. I just pulled mine out and put in some jls.
There was a guy that ust to visit called subbox builder or somering like that. I belive he still has some pics in the gallery.
let me find a link on glass work cause you can get allot more behind the seat if you build fiberglass boxes. don't trip, It's not hard to do.

Yeah without money that will just end up killing your truck and making a terrible system. To do those right you need a big stack and some experience.
dont buy a pioneer amp, and odont port your cab unless you are running full out custom with a bed full of subx

Pioneer builds great head units, provided you buy the ones they dont sell in walmart. Their amps and subs were just their attempt to diversify. My girlfriend had a "400" Watt Sub and Amp both by pioneer, and my JL, at half power could out pound it any day. Stick with MTX, unless you have a "Road Thunder" series amp, if you do, they are ok amps, but the THUNDER series amps are well worth the extra couple of 20's. Plus you can get them cheep, MTX's new amps came out, so dealerships need to move the old ones. If you want to get a good digital amp, buy the 311D. AWESOME AMP. I would like to move up to one, but im savin for a smallblock
yes pioneer does make good head units i've always had them and never had a prob. but they make decent speakers to i have some 6x9 that are 5 years old and still work great. but most of there other stuff is just ok

ive done the bed to cab blowout that you guys are talking about. and its because i got the reg cab with alpine type rs, which are pretty deep. (i dont like ****ing my steering wheel) so i did the cut out. I also have 2 of the pioneer 760w amps, the older ones. And for the money that i paid for them i love them. yea, they arent the best, but i got them for a good price, so i definatly cant complain.
