View Full Version : BSOD when playing any game.... : ( PLEASE HELP

So i have a 8600 GT 512MB of ram vid card and I was getting blue screening on my computer after 10 minutes of game play on any game... I thought i had a virus so i reload windows and re installed everything...

Was playing fallout and sure enough 10 minutes into it....blue screen of death...

F***!

SO...
Any ideas anyone? think its overheating?

Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area





BTW: i have the latest 8 series drivers...

it does it to left 4 dead, far cry 2, fallout 3, pinball from windows xp....its sad...

yes i have drivers from nvidia themselves...

and no im downloading the latest direct x 9

x2 and if that doesnt work and you mobo has on onboard video chipset try to use that on an older game or w/e and see if you still get the blue screen. and check to make sure your video card is pushed all the way in, i had the same problem on my old pc and went out and bought a $200 video card that did the same thing. but it ended up being my own stupidity, i never checked to make sure the video card was completely in the slot. /wrists.

if none of that is the issue go to your video card settings and turn everything down a notch. depending on how old the card is it could just be getting worn out. if thats the case then that should be a good excuse to buy a new one :)
