how did you get a kit with just blocks and springs that lowers it 4/5. ive never seen any springs that werent used with spindles to get the 4 but the 5 is possible. just wonderin what kinda kit you got?

your allignment will be off
everytime you take apart the front suspension, your allightment gets thrown off.

You also will need (unless you have them already) angled shims for the rear if you did blocks. DId you cut the springs to give you that drop? Ive never seen 4" drop springs

BTW, welcome to the site

I think he may mean that will be the total drop combined with ZQ8. (assuming he has ZQ8) I don't beleive there are 4" springs or 5" blocks.
To answer your questions, steering won't be affected too much, the tires will probably rub the frame on a full lock turn, and might rub the top of the fenderwell if you go over a big bump. An alignment is required with drop spindles and is highly recomended with springs. For the rear, you will want to cut off the bumpstop brackets completely or you will bottom out on them.
Good luck!

you can get a 5" block...thats a very tall block tho, biggest i would run is 4"

ya and how did draggnutz get a 4" drop with just coils?? the zq8 trucks are lowered with coils, so as soon as he takes thoes out, its not really a zq8 any more. If i had a zq8, i would run spindles and blocks for a 2/3

dont blocks give you more wheel hop so you must get a lot of wheel hop with a 5" block.

ya you would get alot of wheel hop and axle wrap with a 5" block...

Id only run a 3 in block. I didnt even wanna run a 3 with mine but 3 in lowering leaf springs are very expensive and I plan on bagging my truck in the near future so 3 in lowering leaf springs are money down the drain in my case.
