....between the induction setup and the accessory bracket setup on 96-99 S-series 4.3 versus later years?
In other words, would a old Vortech SC that was made in earlier years that is listed up to 1999 work on a later year truck?

I know there is absolutely no difference what so ever between my 98 GMC 4.3 Jimmy and my 00 Chevy Blazer 4.3. Does that help?

I think 96 they still had the alternator on the driver side. In any case, as long as the alternator is on the same side, they should be the same.

Yeah, that probably means that its all the same. Just curious. I didnt think there was. Should all be the CSFI.

My powerdyne kit was listed for a 96-99 and it worked fine on my '03. The shop that installed mine swapped to a 96-99 alternator to fit the mount but I haven't really checked to see what the difference between the alternators is. IIRC dogsofjune didn't have to swap the alternators.

Yeah..I thought of this too. Since the VTech kit relocates the alt lower, people with the large alt upgrade like myself may have issues fitting the larger case alt in the lower location.

How much larger is your alternator? Im running the snow plow package alternator off a newer fullsized truck. Its a larger case, but it fits fine.

Vortech kits have the most potential over all IMO. And if you ever get tired of the S-trim, T-trims and Y-trims bolt to the same bracket :)
