anyone have a ford powered s10 on here?leave your hater aide at the door ford haters.i already have a 89 5.0L HO motor a few extra mustang t5s a extra s10 non world class t5 good for 225hp 300ft lbs of torque at about 3,000rpm! im after torque not bullcrap hp rating. rather do things than brag about numbers. what good is a 300hp motor that makes it at 6k and make 120 at 3k?

It's a narrower engine than the SBC.. problably fits a little easier in the engine bay.

I know you already have the 302 and all, but building a SBC and dropping it in a 1st gen s10 would be cheaper and easier to do a 302. You'll get alot more power outta a SBC with less money. Sell the 5.0l and buy a 350. Unless you're a die hard Ford guy. If you are I'd have to ask "Why are you here and why not just buy a Ranger?"

If you decide to go through with it, Goodluck. You will be definitely doing something different.

ooh rangers are ugly! lol yeah i like how s10s look.keep in mind i got this truck for $200 running and driving. i think a mustang 302 makes more power than a 350 out of say a truck of same year.gm parts are cheaper yes, but everything older is tbi and i dont care for tbi or the hei internal coil dizzys and alot of stuff that goes with it and i dont want a 4barrel 350 when i can make 225hp and 300ft lbs of torque stock at 3,000rpm. that was my point.and well i cant afford a ls1 motor but that would be nicer.and everyone seems to just do the usual swaps. maybe a turbo 4 duke might be interesting but costly.im not diehard ford, im die hard 302! best damn efi motor they have made so far!of course thats my opinion.nothing quite feels like one with that low end power. they are alot of fun. i like whatever i drive to be fun
