Count me in. Need to know in advance when it will take place.
ok guys, i need everyone who posted in this thread, and those who are going to post in it for the first time, to list exactly what kit you want, the 2.2, 4.3 TBI or 96+ 4.3. even if your only interested and not sure if your gonna get in on it we need to know the numbers for each kit so we can figure how much of a discount. use the lists i posted at the beginning of the thread maybe and copy your name on it. once we get an idea of numbers and a discount we will make a new list for people definitely in on it. thanks guys

94s10, I don't know which one you would fit into. . . The TBI kit I don't know if it'll work, and the 96+ kit I don't if it'll work. . . Do you have a 2.2L?
I'm thinking Maximus MAY be interested in the TBI kit, but I can't speak for him. Max?
So, we've got 6-7 so far -- just need 3 or 4 more to hit 10. Depending on how many want one on the other boards, you've probably hit the magical number of 10. But, the more the merrier, though!

Technically, the Wynjammer is THREE mods in one:
S/C (duh! As if that isn't obvious enough)
Intake w/upgraded filter
Programmer
So, you're saving $130-$250 on an intake, and $300-$400 on a programmer (or reflashed ECM). Talk about a deal!
All you need are headers and an exhaust and you're set! Unless, of course, you want to get hardcore with it!

i have been talking to Al about a kit for my 00 s10 with a 99 5.7. he said he could put something together for me, the 96+ 4.3 kit with the 5.7 programmer or ecu. so count me in if you want to make another column for a v8 kit.

Keep 'em coming, folks!
i dont know if this is in the right thread or not...but has anyone run anything higher than the 6 psi pulley that comes with it....i was reading the site and it says i can get a 10psi pulley
so if i were to put on the 10 psi pulley would i have feul issues or would i be able to run it just fine? because ive been doin a bit of reading on the boards around here and from what i can gather is that our injectors are already being pushed hard enough with the 6psi pulley.....any help would be awesome.
still learning.....but put me down for the kit

At any boost level over 6 psi you will need some sort of fuel augmentation -- whether it be an FMU (Focking MickeyMouse Unit, as Jedi Master calls them -- which they are) or one of the SDS injector setups such as Al recommends. You will not be able to provide enough fuel to accomodate the boost otherwise. The SDS system, from what I've seen from looking into it, is a decent enough system, but is no substitute for a set of well-tuned injectors (but that isn't an option just yet -- although it's still in the works, just a matter of time).

Ain't that the truth!
But, you know what? You'll have yours installed before anyone else! Which means you'll be enjoying it before anyone else!
It's all in how you look at it! Got it installed yet? Shouldn't take longer than a couple hours -- then the fun will REALLY start.

If there are at least two people for every kit, that means 6 or so -- plus the 10 we've got. Damn! Al is going to be a little overworked because of us! But, he'll be moving kits, which is what he's in business for!
Add me to the list for a '98 4.3 kit. Might as well get it now. ;)

Um, I do -- but not yet. . . Waiting on a particular manifold project to be completed -- that way fuel delivery won't be a problem.
And, um, Louie, weren't YOU running 10 psi at one point? LOL!

Supercharged-ZQ8--Your informative, eloquent, and experienced comparison on the Wynjammer vs. your old Powerdyne is what made my decision (among other things). I thank you for putting your experience on the internet for people like me. I would have never known there was another option (without drilling into my oil pan or waiting 2 years to get the blower i fully paid for up front...i think we all know which brands i am referring to) without this site and your experience. Thank you for the vote of confidence! I try my best to provide what tech support and info I can. We're trying to figure out what we can about this GP (price, etc.) -- but I can honestly say that it is probably one of the best performance investments you can make. Plus, as I may have said in this thread (or in another one -- I don't recall), you're getting three mods in one with this kit: S/C, intake, and programmer. With the other kits, the intake would need to be purchased separately and modified to work with the S/C, and the programmer would also need to be purchased separately. Intakes run between $125-$250 and programmers run between $350-$400 -- so you're getting an extra $475-$650 in extra mods!

Wow. . . 18 so far. Here's the clincher -- I'm going to see what magic I can produce (if any) about price, shipping, etc. How many of those on the list are COMMITED to buying one? I mean, specifically, once this gets rolling do you all have cash in hand. Don't take it the wrong way -- I'm willing to bet that EVERYONE is serious and ready to go, but I'd rather be certain. We've got 18 kits spoken for here, plus however many more from elsewhere -- depending on how much the kits will run (different prices for different kits, obviously) that's a NICE chunk of change. And, the larger the chunk of change, the easier it is to persuade -- if you know what I mean. Plus, Al visits the Forum frequently, so he's probably seen this thread (hint, hint, Al!) -- even going with $2200 (this is NOT a definite number -- just a figure I made up to illustrate a point) a kit is a nice deposit into the bank account! $2200 x 18 = $39,600.00! Nice bankroll, eh?
IS EVERYONE ON THE LIST DEFINITELY IN ON THE GROUP PURCHASE NO MATTER WHAT THE DISCOUNT? IF SO THEN LEAVE YOUR NAME ON THE LIST. IF YOUR NOT SURE, THEN REMOVE YOUR NAME UNTIL YOU MAKE UP YOUR MIND.

Wow. . . Nice bankroll, eh?

sorry to say that March 26th is a bit too early for me. This group buy looks like it is going a bit quicker then i thought it would. Won't have the money until first week of May or so. I was REALLY hoping this would have been a bit slower. Guess i will have to suck up the extra $300 in May, as I will be an Al Martin customer one way or another. Sorry for the disappointment fellas.
i dont know if it makes a difference broncohound, but he said funds should be sent starting on the 28th (monday), so thats 2 extra days!! super says we have 6 guys ready cash in hand. all we need is 4 more at least

If you've got air injection, then it might need a little modification. If you don't then you'll be fine.
awesome i dont have air injection, as a matter of fact what is air injection?
what about all the ppl from s10 forum, do they know about all this?

I think 2001 was the first year for air injection. . . In fact, I've seen '02s and newer without it, so it is quite possible that '01 was the only year with air injection -- but I'm not positive on that.
I don't know if the folks from the other forums are aware of this or not. . . More reason for them to join us over here! LOL.

I still have not seen a discount price posted for the TBI kit.If it's 1500 retail how much is the discount gonna be.I just might be able to do this. But I wanna know how much of a discount the TBI kit is.I know the freight is free which is great. If I return my Nitrous controller it would help me out on the purchase. The TA would just have to wait a little longer, which is fine.So what did you get quoted 94S10.
Thats exactly why i wanna know if this is gonna go through cause i can save my shipping charges before the price goes up.
Id really like to see everyone here that put ther names up to try and find some cash, with the group purchase you are saving about $400 with shipping included

maximus, the price for the TBI is 1400$ free freight. i hope you all can do this because this is one HELL of a deal. scrounge the money and svae 300-400 dollars, or wait and pay full price in a month.
Well I'm not giving up yet, we have 5 (almost 6 confirmed now), we just need 4/5 more.

nevermind i saw that you can....
Yep the programmer it comes with seems to do just about everything that the Hypertech III programmer can do. So you get a Hypertech equivalent ($350), a K&N intake equivalent ($250) and a supercharger in one package. If you already have a Hypertech and/or Intake, then think of them as rebates for the supercharger when you sell them on ebay.
Supercharged-ZQ8

with the programmer that you get with the kit, can you remove the govener??
Technically, no. Effectivley, yes.
You can modify the top speed to 255 mph (at least that's how other programmers/custom flashes work -- I don't know what the ProFlash variable is set for, but it's probably something similar), so it'll go until you run out of motor. But, there's really no point in completely removing it, if you think about it. . . At the track, unless you're running better than 12 seconds, there is no way you're going to hit 128 mph (which is the top speed of the HPPIII). On average, any of these S-Series trucks that run mid-to-low 13s have a trap speed of around 100-110 mph.
And if you're going THAT fast on public streets. . . Well, I won't continue with that thought. I'm not here to judge.

This is what I'd be looking for. One something that didnt need a tuner, probably a 4 PSI kit, so a base kit no frills.
New truck, warrentied etc so I will not run over 4 PSI and I dont think I need any tuning with that and I'm dropping too much as it is now, so price is gonna be and issue!
Well there are actually three cut off dates:
1. March 26th: If your not on the list by then, you miss the deal
2. March 26th: If there aren't 10 people on the list, the deal is a no-go
3. April 15th: If Al hasn't recieved funds from 10 people by the end of that day then the deal is off and all cash funds will be returned.
And the all important, soon as funds from 10 people are in, then the S/C start shipping!
[B]The Freight is free in the Continental U.S.
The Basic 4lb kit will be $1400.00
5 Kits to go.
If I don't get 10 kits I will lose a $100.00 Bet I was betting on you guys. Oh well. The Ford mustang guys win. The said they didnt thinks I would get 3
kits sold by saturday and 10 would be impossible.
Even if I loose I might extend to the 31st to get 5 more kits as the prices will be going up April 1st 05.
This is my first real price increase like in 10 years, this gas thing is killing me.
You guys tryed hard to make it happen.

Understandable -- I agree fully. I think a good portion of it is that a number of folks on the list haven't visited the forum in a couple days, so an email would call their attention to it.

Well, we can't let you down. I think the big matter is that a few folks haven't seen the finalized deal yet. Until what time Saturday do you have before you lose the bet? If it's by Saturday night, then I think you might be the winner of that bet. We've gotten 5 definites in 2 days. Who knows how many more will show in the next 2! Aside from that, there are a couple people from S10Forum that are unaccounted for -- so those could cinch it. OBI WAN
03-24-05, 10:37 PM
Thats why I'm asking here.
2005 Blazer, will it need tuning to run 4 PSI?
I have to keep it well in bounds without tuning for 36K if its not CARB approved, that way warrenty will not be and issue, and even thenit will push the warrenty issue, but I can hide that fact without any changes in the tune which then they wouldnt know I'm up to something! If it went in for a warrenty problem they would either find the tune change or whip it out with and update.
Would this fall in at the TBI price?

Alright guys, I havn't been on in a while, and come back to all this! You've been busy! Ok, so the discount price for the 4.3L kit is $2295.00 US. I live in Canada, so I will not be getting free shipping. so add $40 = $2335.00. Convert that to Canadian dollars is about $2850, plus at the most 14% tax for crossing the border, I'm looking at $3249 Canadian. That is not a small number. I will have to do some number crunching and see where that leaves me. I want this kit SOOOO bad and will do everything in my power to scrape up the cash. I will try to have a final answer by Saturday PM sometime.
Don't count me out just yet!
If you want to avoid the 14% tax, have it sent to a member first, then have them mail it to you. It increases the S&H, but it saves $$$ in the long run
yeah i dont know how close you are to the border, but maybe you can drive across and pick it up?? i'm sure we can get somebody who lives close to the border to recieve it them mail it to you if it will help you save. hell i'll do it from florida if ya want

LoRyder
03-25-05, 01:48 PM
I live about an hour from the border. Any one in North Dakota or Minnesota? I'd drive there to pick it up! We'll see what happens.
Well you could go ahead and atleast get your name on Al's list if you think you can gather the cash (be sure to put as much effort into as Maximus). That way the deal will still go through and you can figure out how to get around the 14% thing. I'd be happy to offer shipping from my house as well, but I'm in Maryland.
OBI WAN
03-25-05, 01:59 PM
Yeah if everybody but the effort into it like Maximus is, we'd all find that extra cash!!
I was talking to Al (im in CANADA too) and he told me if i wanted it shipped out to canada he would do it, but he said he would ship it out to someone with a business in your area ( so it would be shipped at wholesale price), u save some maney that way.
what im doin is getting my uncle in seattle to get it mailed to his house and then imma go down and put it on there an then bring it across on my truck

What vehicle do you want to supercharge with 4lb.
Yes the 4.3 will work with out the programmer, of course
I don't recommend it, The program can be removed and
the kit can be removed in about an hour to get service at the Dealer.
Dealers are Two faced, if they sell supercharged vehicles that dont
blink and eye if they don't the want to void your warranty.
I do have dealer ships that dont care. There is the magnason *** Act
that states as long as the after market product is not the evident
cause The dealer can not void the warranty. I have to find this and
post on my site for every one info.

I have the Magnuson Moss act here posted in the articles section!
Its a brand new 2005 Blazer.
I was hoping that as long as I kept boost under 4 lbs max, the factory programming could deal with it. 05 programming is not completely out yet and later I was more thinking in the way of going to 6 PSI once the warrenty is up and then custom programming either PCM for less or LS edit.
Ive had programmers jam on me before so I dont really want to put in, pull out, put in etc and looking at the kit I think I could have it out and back to factory in 2 hours then have warrenty work done!
I've been told before on previous year 4.3's the factory programming can deal with 3-5 psi before any need of tuning, true?

C'mon people! 5 hours to go in order to get in on this STEAL -- I mean deal.
Obi, do this: Instead of getting a "base kit" now and upgrading later -- why not just get the full kit now with the extra pulley (4 psi) and that way you'll be able to upgrade later without buying more. You're wanting to do mods on this thing, so why not start RIGHT?!
One more person is all that is needed. The Forum Members get a deal, Al wins his bet and the S-Series community can make a good showing against the Mustang crowd!

I have been selling the 05 for the 4.3 ,4.8,5.3,6.0

only been on once this past week, but honestly, i wouldnt have signed up anyhow. i emailed al quite a few times, at first he was extremely helpful, but as i had more concerns about clearance, he stopped replying. i had 3 unanswered emails. that is a bad way to run a business. saving 400 bucks isnt that great of a deal anyways. your talking about him selling 10 s/c's!!!!!that has got to be a huge profit for him, so he can surely afford to either A:give you a better deal, B:EXTEND THE DEADLINE A WEEK OR TWO! i was extremely interested in this kit because of it being mounted on the driver side, which would be the only way i could put it under the hood with the v8 and keep the a/c. my concern was not only clearance for the pulley to the radiator, but also about the radiator hose to the s/c. wish he could have helped, but he didnt. have the cash in hand. looks like the money gets blown elsewhere. this does look like a good kit though, not trying to bash his product. sorry about the late response, i do appreciate your trying to get ahold of me.

I wish you would've posted your questions earlier -- someone (probably me) could have answered them.
But, for what it's worth: As for clearance -- the pulley should clear the radiator. If you've got a clutch fan on there it definitely will; if you've got an e-fan, I would be willing to bet that it would still clear -- the pulley sticks out past the drive belt (on a serpentine belt system) about 1.5"-2" or so -- and another 1/2" for the "belt-guard."
Radiator hose. . . Without seeing an actual pic, that would be a hard one to determine.
Lastly, over the course of what time did you send the last 3 emails? If it's only been a matter of a couple days, that's one thing. If it has been over the course of a week or two, then that's another. But, Al has been receiving a lot of emails, so it could have been overlooked. There could have been any number of things that delayed a response. Heck, I don't runa business and I get backlogged on my correspondence. I wouldn't use the phrase "a bad way to run a business." Ever try to contact Powerdyne? I have -- they take two weeks to respond and the response is usually "that's not within the parameters of the kit," or "that wouldn't work" or whatever -- often in regards to things that ARE "within the parameters of the kit" or simply a matter of troubleshooting. Vortech isn't much better -- they take a week or two to answer (but they DO answer).
And, it could be worse, though. . . Could be like a particular shop that a few of us are aware of that NEVER responds at all, and even with 90% up front has a hard time shipping parts.
But, no matter. If you've made up your mind to not buy one, that's your decision -- and no one can fault you for it.
well guys theres another user over at s10forum.com, his user name is toslow4u and he says he is definitely in for a 96+ 4.3 kit. i told him to call Al to confirm his spot in the GP then come here and post. he would officially make 10 but the more the better

The two main gauges that would be good to have with a blower are vac/boost and fuel pressure (the type that reads up to 100 psi).

No -- you do not NEED to have one. It can free up some hp if you want to go that route, but is by NO means necessary. E-fans are subject to opinion and debate. Some (ahem: Obi Wan) don't like them. Others like the power gain. But necessary? No.
The 10 psi boost gauge is all you will need. The kit is rated for 6 psi and if you went with a gauge that has a broader sweep, you'd never be able to tell (with any accuracy) what your boost level was. No -- stick to the 10 psi gauge -- if you decide to go with more boost (although you shouldn't need to -- just wait and see) it'll do well up to that 10 psi limit. Beyond that, I'd be MUCH more worried about the motor grenading than about whether the boost gauge was correct.

Fan that only runs when the temp exceeds the stat which is pretty much how you have to set one so iy doesnt run all the time, increases heat accross the board, from engine to cylinder temps and can actually re-eat the h.p. is gave. Then you have alts that dont last as long, batteries and the possiblity it fails on the road. Then what do you do when it quits!

i was considering buying the AEM wideband. the only thing that deterred me was that its more expensive and alot more pople seem to have the LM-1 and are happy with it. the LM-1 is 350 while the XD-1 LC-1 bundle package is 399. how do you like the AEM setup? got any pictures?

I so wish I could get in on this now.I will have one just don't know when.I wanna see some install pics and write ups on the TBI kit when you get it done 94S10.You have gotta represent us TBI guys and lay down some awesome times. Also what mods have you done to yours so far.
not much in the way of mods. its got about 25,000 miles on a new long block. on it now are a cat back exhaust, k&n filter with a cold air intake i put together and an msd blaster coil. i have heat wrapped edelbrock headers and y-pipe and 5.7 injectors that are going to be installed after i put the charger on. i want to do that EGR mod too, did you notice anything with that? i'll document everything with lots of pics.
Al said i should get my kit by the end of next week. he is just waiting on the new billet drive housings
(Wynjammer Group Purchase)If your on the list of guys that wanted the good deal you
have 13 days to get you money in. I will Honor all sales up to 12:00 Midnight 15 April 05. Kit's and parts are being assembled now. The new Mono Drive Wynjammer Supercharger will have a Billit Drive Housing. It's not what I did yesterday it's what I'm
gonna do tommorow and the future. Al Martin

The two main gauges that would be good to have with a blower are vac/boost and fuel pressure (the type that reads up to 100 psi).
I bought both of these gauges, and i noticed that the fuel pressure says it needs to be mounted outside the vehicle?? i was hoping for inside, but if it has to go outside were and do i put it??

yeah so this blows. i cant buy my s/c, mainly because it's going to sit in a garage for 10 more months until i get home! no point in doing that....
In an email from Al he told me to make my check payable to Wynjammer Superchargers.

ok enough about who to take the check out to....should i take back the mechanical fuel pressure and buy and electric one?
Maximus
04-05-05, 06:19 PM
Yes
Yes, get the electric instead of mechanical. I'm guessing the mechanical runs fuel to the guage to check pressure, and hence you mount it outside the cab (but I'm just guessing with wild speculation since I have no real information on that).

GOOD! Maybe then we'll have more "traffic" in the Forced Induction Section!
Of course, I have the corner on the market on the "Supercharged" title! Others may have blowers on their trucks, but there's only ONE "Supercharged," and that's me! And anyone that cuts in on my "name" will be SACKED! AAARRRRR! BEWARE THE BLOODTHIRSTY VIKING ADMIN!
Of course, I think Big Louie is running faster than me -- but I've got it covered in the turns! Straight lines bore me lately.

Yes..., I am still in:)
I plan to call Al again Saturday to confirm
I have some medical problems and moving slow, but when I say something, I keep my word:)
My back was broken in 4 places about 5 weeks ago. Not working, but still can not pass up a good deal..., I will just to make a few more sales:)
Ouch, well just be sure to take care of you back! You need that in good shape so you can feel it being pushed into the seat when you get the S/C installed ;)

I have not had time to read through all the threads.
I am not a mechanic, but can do tune-ups, brakes, etc...
How complicated is it (for a "non-mechanic" to install) and how long will it take- (when the back gets better or more realistically when I get someone to help)?
Anyone have any 0-60 times for a stock vs. Wynjammer on a 4.3?
Just curious..., I don't even know what my S10 will do and do not race, just want something to compare it to and I am familiar with 0-60 numbers:)

I'm not a mechanic either, but like you, brake and other stuff...from what i understand the install manual is easy to follow, and has pictures so i figure it couldnt be that bad...just get a couple buddies and make a day of it, and you 'll get it...:D

Cool! I emailed Al to see how things were going, but haven't heard back yet. He should have gotten my check on Monday (at least that's what the post office claims).
Looking forward to this, going to have to borrow a friends garage and install this and the ceramic headers I've had for ages.

Hey guys. Haven't been around much. I've been really busy, new job with verizon crazy hours for training (they have training shifts around the clock and they constantly change your shift) and still trying to work my other job untill I complete training. Unfortunatley I am unable to get payment to Al. I was counting on a settlement for an accident I was involved in. My attorney told me I should recieve funds about 4 months ago and then it was in a month and then a couple of weeks and still I haven't gotten anything. A friend of mines dad is an attorney so I am going to have him check it out. I really wanted to get this s/c with the savings. I hope you guys reached the 10 sales to complete the group buy. I can't wait to here about how much the WJ improved everyones rides. When my settlement comes through I will get one.
well good luck with the settlement, i believe we have enough without you so dont worry about it.
i know Al has been working on assembling kits. they should be shipping out this week. i know he was waiting on new throttle body bonnets to use with the TBI kits. i REALLY want to get it on and running before the drag thru truck show here in orlando this saturday so i can throw sparks AND burn rubber lol. well maybe not burn rubber, my tires are to damn expensive
Sparky2263
04-17-05, 11:20 PM
What drag truk show? In Bithlo? Holla at me!
nah lol by drag i meant drag your frame. its not really a "show" its just a bunch of minitruckers and we just all show up in a parking lot and hang out, then go draggin somewhere then come back. this one should be huge, last time we had like 100 trucks there. its in the parking lot across from UCF, where club tre and liquid cellar are
does anyone know if Al started to ship yet?

does anyone know if Al started to ship yet?
got an email back today stating that he ran out of cog drive pulleys, but has a batch coming out of the machine shop, going in for black anodizing, then he can ship...replied to Al asking what day he plans to start shipping?....so soon as i know, i will post...
i called al yesterday and he said that he was just running behind a bit. He said he's got tons of orders, but he was hoping to start shipping them by the end of this week or early next week. personally i dont care the longer the better in a way, this way i can get a crap load done on my truck and make her ready for the blower.

Bah Hum Bug!
One thing you lean at my age is patients. there are some things you don't want to rush someone on. This is one. y'all start pushing to hard he's going to make mistakes. wynjammer isn't a huge cooperation(yet) he's only human and from what I've seen and heard doing all this out of a small shop.

I talked to Al this afternoon and he has started shipping them out today. It will take all week for him to get them all out between all his business and packing and other orders, but he says he's sending them out now. Woot!
