The Ghetto Eeyore-Mobile sunroof install tips needed

ok today i pulled the headliner and sun roof outta my 91 2dr parts s10 blazer, got the headliner installed in The Ghetto Eeyore-Mobile(88 2r s10 blazer) and looting for tips on cutting the hole for the sunroof with out removing the headliner(it started pouring rain as we had to pull it out and install it, it didnt like that), was thinking of cutting about 2 or 3 inches inside the hole with a sawsall and useing a grinder to fine tune the hole.... any other ideas and thoughts?

i know it would take a little longer, but id rather cut to small and trim to size then cut to big of a hole and be SOL on it :) what kinda of sealant should i use?
