i found a rearend out of a extreme blazer for real cheap.
I've been told that the blazer rearends are a little wider. Is this true?

I don't think so...
ZR2's are wider, but other than that I think they are the same...

yeah i figured it out. I didnt think they were wider but i had a couple buddies try to tell me they were. Thanks anyway:)

If they were it is probably because of the disc brakes or something. The rear (EXC. the brakes) is most likely the same.

ALL 2wd are the same width, ALL 4x4 are the same width (4" wider total than 2wd).. except ZR2s.. they are 6" wider total than 2wd (the same width as an Explorer's 8.8 rear, BTW).

yeah i went and bought the rearend. it is a 3.42 g80 with disc brakes for $175. The only thing I have to do is put new wheel bearings in.
