I've missed quite a few hard shifts (usually an embarassing moment) over the 2 years I've had my truck, and I know my transmission doesn't quite feel like it used to. Is there any way to tell if damage has been done without dropping the tranny?

oh its 2003 4.3 if it matters, and i have a B&M shifter recently installed. (which has been the reason for pulling pretty hard through the gears. its so fun now!)

thanks!

if they are bent it'll be hard to get the truck in certain gears.

hmm. last time i drove it (and its been awhile, in iraq right now) it was in fact a bit stiffer than usual getting into some gears. ill have to check that out then.
Does the B&M not have some sort of safeguard built in?
