So I had gotten in a huge crash last year just after christmas and my truck has been in the shop untill now. The final tuches are being done but theres a problem I have a five speed many, and now whenever I turn the truck off it makes this horabol sound. Like clunking that was never there befor and the dealership is saying thats just how it is. that the sounds are normal for that truck and all bhat bull. So I sit there and argue for evre whith the guy bout ready to punch him in the throut. Im them told they had there best guys on it and the head teck, and theres nothing wrong with it. My plan is to go test drive some other xtremes to day and compare it to my problem. What do you guys and girls think anyone have the same problem with there trans, all the advice you could give me would be great.

Oh ya theres also the matter of three dents in my body that were never there but they said it wasent done at there shop. (for the record my truck was flawless) Im gonna talk with the allstate person and have this taken care of.

I'm not sure if that sound is normal because I drive an automatic, but that reminds me of a time a few weeks ago when I got the tires changed on my truck. I got these nice tires that cost me about $400 total, and I noticed a chip on the front of my bumper. Keep in mind I had a bit of a chip off the middle of the bumper before, but I had some pictures of the truck when I got it and the chip I have now was not there when I got it. I am not sure if it is from the parking lot at the school or if it was from an impact wrench or what have you at the shop. I am thinking about just touching up the paint and forgetting about it.

if it wasn't ther before the wreck it shouldn't be there now. NO thats not just the way they sound. Tell them their a bunch of nuckelhead mcspazatrons and they need to do there job or you'll talk to someone who will make them. Be polite about it and don't use those exact words, but you get the point. how old are you? age may play a part in this if your younger than 21 or look younger than 21. Bring an old dude like your dad.

probally not the tranny if it only dose it at shut down.......check for a broken bellhouseing. if the engine was removed check for loose bolts. Are you haveing any problem putting it in gear? that would be the dreaded misailingned or broken shift forks if the newer tranny even have them(not real fimilare with new computor controled trannys) It was common in the old B/W t5s after a bad wreck.
check your engine mounts and tranny mounts of course.
take it to a good exhaust shop and heve them look for broke, missing, loose brakets and have the cat checked. The factory cats on the 03s are crap. And can't take allot of bumping and hard off raod abuse so i'm assumeing the impact from a wreck would be worse. I've had mine changed 4 times because the honey comb media stuff inside keeps breaking up. It sounds like what your describeing.

So ya today I was at homedepot putting togther a spud gun thats gonna kill and I got a call saying I could go down and get my truck. So im down there and im looking over my truck and notise that theres still damige underneth. Half the bolt and thred that holds my shock together is ground off and theres a lot of damage to my rer axel. Needless to say I was very unhappy and am haveing the insurance inspecter come out tomarow and meet me at the shop to go over every theing. Trans, dints, gaps in my body kit, and the scrach covered rims of mine. All of witch where fine befor the crash. To answer your question im 21 as of last november, but ya you have the same take that you do about all this.
Ill be shure to keep you posted with omarows events if youd like, and as of always your thoughts are welcome.

You may be 21, but I think I could write better when I was 5.

If your truck had that much damage, why wasn't it totaled??
