Guess it's time to bring down Neo and Trinity...but seriously, we'll have to keep our eyes open.

if a site can be hacked and messed with for 3 hours without anyone knowing, mabey there was a problem outher than a bored teenager with too much free time on their hands. If it was one individuale eith no affiliation with the site the guy has got a futhure ahead of him in the internet security feild, but it sounds like an inside job to me.

Yup, I agree with the board being too loose or something. Org has had its share of problems for many years and not to long ago it was down more than up!

i used to dabble with that stuff, its really not that hard to do if you find a weakness in the server host. maybe the host needs to look into securing his server. Its not really something that can be done with the GUI, more on the shell side of it. I am willing to bet it was either a huge screwup by the admin and he didnt wanna take blame, or it was an outside job. My $.02

If it wasn't an inside job, it may have been them running an old version of phpBB (the forum software over there). There have been several security wholes in php and phpBB lately. I've tried to keep us up2date over here, but no one is ever perfect.
