About how much do you think it would cost to put a new crate 350, transmission, and new rear end into a 91 S-10?

Cheeper than you would imagine. Your rear end will stand up to a mild amount of hp, so it doesnt need to be replaced. Depending on your current engine your transmission could also be reused. If you have the 4.3 with a 4spd automatic trans, the trans can be reused, as it is the same transmission used to back light small blocks. The engine new would run about 2g, then you would need ECM (if you go the fuley route) wiring harness etc. You could do what a bunch of guys on here are doing, and buy a junkyard motor, harness, and ecm for around 500-1000 bucks.
By the way, welcome to the site.

Really, that transmission would bolt up to a 350!!?? i didnt think that was possible. Wouldnt the rear end snap though with a 350 if you were spinnin the tires and running it hard. Oh, and i dont know if this matters a whole lot, but i do have the 4.3.

oh, and by the way, thanks for welcoming me to the site.
If you'er planing on ragging it like you said, you need to atleast upgrade to 8.5 rear.

So how much do you think it would cost to get a brand new crate 350, brand new transmission, and brand new 8.5 rear end?

If you look around and get a good deal maybe 6K plus hardware. It's impossable to tell you the exact amount your spend. Things will change and there will be problums to deal with along the way. No plan goes perfect but it can be done for a medium amount of money and time.
<== lives 3 miles from a junkyard.
You can get complete setup for a lot less than $6k.
Unless you want an Allison tranny from an M1 Abrams. maybe. That type of setup would run you the $6k.

What are you looking to spend, and what do you have now. Year, trans, etc. and what state do you live in
a plug and play crate engine(350ci, 350hp, fi) your looking at 6-7 grand.

I've got a 91 S-10 with a 4.3 V-6. All I know about my transmission is that it is an automatic. And the truck only has 35000 miles on it.

Ok, heres how it breaks down
The 4.3l V6 is basically a V8 with 2 cyl's knocked off. This is why many aftermarket dressup parts for the V8 will work on your truck. If you were to go get a junktyard engine, you could start off with around 300hp. This is a hell of a baseline, especially from where you are now. Your rear end will stand up to this kinda power for quite sometime. Infact the rear in your truck will hold up to somewhere around 400 Rearwheel HP (not for long mind you) if you buy a 300Hp motor, estimate only about 260 reaching the rear wheels. Your transmission will bolt right up to a Chevy V8 with no problems, and if you get the right kinda motor, that is all of the work you are gonna have to do. If you buy a TBI (throttle body injection) engine, your factory wiring harness and ecm will work. TBI motors can be found on all GM trucks from the 87-95 after 95, they used Vortech motors. Ask all the questions you want to ask, I am in the process of doing this swap to my 87 S10, so I have done quite a bit of research.
Oh yeah, you will need motor mounts, a new radiator, and a few other things

Will I have to do any suspension work when I get the 350 in? Meaning will the front end set to low, and the rear end be way up in the air.

You may have to change the coils, with the V8 it might drop 1 inch. However it's the rear that will need improvments due to the loss of tracton with the extra torque.
