View Full Version : TANK SIZE???

I'm running a 5 gal. tank currently and was wondering the pros vs. cons of going to an 8 gal. tank???
will it hold compression longer?
will it take longer to fill up? obviously yes...

just curious to what everybody is running in there system and if they like it or not....

I dont hit the switches all the time...not even everytime I drive it. It has 1 Viair 480 compressor....and it turns on the way to work and the its on the way home from work, and I only work 3 miles from the house. So basically it seems likes its always on...

Have you checked for leaks???....I have 2 5gal tanks and 2 viair 480s....unless Im hittin switches my comps never run....

i have 2 5gals and 2 viair 450s. i get one full lift on full tanks and they will kick on for about 2:30 then they shut off. 10gals is enough air for me. i would imagine its enough for you too...

What is your full psi...I run mine 150/180...But my pressure switch really shuts them off at 200psi ....and I can get 3 full lifts front and rear then they kick on run for about 3:00 mins.....but yeah 10gals is more then enough for me...

I know there are some minor leaks that have to be fixed, and my com shuts off around 175lbs.

im running a 110/145 pressure switch. its pumps to about 152ish or my gauge could be off a bit, idk...

I bet your gauge is ok the switches always seem to be off 10 to 20psi or at least mine have been.....You should bump that up to a 150/180 you will have more fun.......:D
