180 t-stat

where do i go to get 1? i went to checkers and auto zone, and both told me they can only give me the 1 that calls for my truck. i was like... there not a compatiable 1? i dont have to special order 1 do i? thanks! i do have this feeling its something quite simple

I just ordered a JET performance 180* stat from jegs. It came out to about 20 bones. It's part #10171. Here's a pic, hope it helps.

It says 180 on the thermostat. I am not sure if the box was from another thermostat, but the thermostat was in the box from a few years ago in my garage.

I got mine from Auto Zone. Apparently you have the stupidest people working at your local facility.
NAPA also has them. Order online and ditch the low IQ of the counterperson.

I tried to get a 180 through Oreilly's, it's in the book, but its a factory order from the people they get their themostats from. Kinda rediculous I know, It's not like the small block chevy, you can get a 160 on up real easy.

I got my 180 from Jegs,

I can get 160, 180, 192, or a 195 here at my autozone. Sounds like you got a "know it all" salesperson.

i find the part numbers and go in with the list and tell them go get these parts then i know i have what i asked for.

ok.. i trust you guys... i ordered this just now, i used exact same part number, but it didnt even say what degree thermostat it is.... why is that? i didnt realize it till after i purchased. it is a 180? jegs dont say, just says lowered temp.

It will be a 180*. On the package it comes in doesn't say the temp either, but if you gave them part #10171 you will get the 180 from Jet Performance Products.

Yep that's the one I got from Jet, you will be able to tell that its a much better quality thermo, unlike the ones you get at Oreilly's,(Murray) they used to sell Stat, but they went cheap.I don't know about the Zone,NAPA, or Advanced, I'm not allowed to go in their stores,They know I wear an Oreilly's shirt.lol

It is a 180 it doesn't say anywhere except on the stat its self. On the top or bottom is where iy says 180. Thanks much guys. I am going to install it this sunday
